CodexVault3D is built by creators, for creators. Our community guidelines exist to protect creators' work, ensure quality content, and maintain a respectful environment where everyone can thrive.
These guidelines apply to all content uploaded to The Vault, including 3D models, descriptions, images, and any other materials shared on our platform.
Content Standards

- • Original creations - Models you've designed and have rights to share
- • High-quality work - Well-crafted models that showcase your skills
- • Accurate descriptions - Clear, honest descriptions of your content
- • Proper attribution - Credit collaborators and inspiration sources
- • Educational content - Tutorials, techniques, and learning resources
- • Creative diversity - Art, prototypes, miniatures, architectural models, and more
🚫 Prohibited Content
- • Copyright violations - Using others' intellectual property without permission
- • Adult content - Sexually explicit or pornographic material
- • Violence & hate - Content promoting violence, hatred, or discrimination
- • Illegal items - Weapons, drugs, or other illegal objects
- • Low-quality spam - Broken files, duplicates, or irrelevant uploads
- • Misleading content - False descriptions, stolen previews, or fake credentials
Copyright & Intellectual Property
Important: Only upload content you own
You must have the legal right to share any content you upload. This includes having created the model yourself or having explicit permission from the copyright holder.
Copyright Guidelines
- • Your original work - Models you designed and created
- • Licensed content - Work you have permission to redistribute
- • Public domain - Genuinely public domain models (rare for modern content)
- • Fair use remixes - Substantial transformative work (proceed with caution)
What's NOT Allowed
- • Models from video games, movies, or TV shows (unless you created them)
- • Character models from popular franchises
- • Downloaded models from other sites (even "free" ones)
- • Models created by others without explicit permission
- • Brand logos, trademarked designs, or corporate assets
Quality Standards
We want The Vault to showcase the best of the 3D community. While we welcome creators of all skill levels, uploaded content should meet basic quality standards.
✅ Quality Indicators
- • Clean geometry and topology
- • Appropriate file formats (.stl, .obj, .fbx, etc.)
- • Reasonable file sizes
- • Clear, accurate previews
- • Detailed descriptions
- • Relevant tags
⚠️ Quality Issues
- • Corrupted or broken files
- • Extremely low-poly or unfinished work
- • Missing textures or materials
- • Misleading previews
- • Empty or copied descriptions
- • Inappropriate file formats
Community Behavior
Respect is the foundation of our community. We expect all members to treat each other with kindness and professionalism.
Expected Behavior
- • Be respectful in all interactions
- • Provide constructive feedback
- • Credit and acknowledge others' work
- • Help newcomers learn and grow
- • Report violations appropriately
Unacceptable Behavior
- • Harassment, bullying, or personal attacks
- • Spam or excessive self-promotion
- • Impersonating other creators
- • Deliberately misleading users
- • Sharing personal information without consent
Enforcement & Appeals
Moderation Process
Our moderation team reviews reported content and takes appropriate action based on these guidelines. We aim to be fair, consistent, and transparent in our enforcement.
Possible Actions
- • Warning - First-time or minor violations
- • Content removal - Violating content is taken down
- • Account restriction - Temporary limitations on uploads
- • Account suspension - Serious or repeated violations
Appeal Process
If your content is flagged and you believe it was done in error, you have 7 days to:
- • Update your content to address the concerns
- • Submit an appeal explaining why the action was incorrect
- • Contact support if you need clarification on our policies
