Dive into the future with a touch of the past! Introducing my latest 3D printable creation - ArtiBot! This articulated robot blends vintage sci-fi vibes with a modern twist, making it a must-have for enthusiasts of both worlds. With its sleek design and flexible joints, ArtiBot is not just a print; it's a journey through time. Unleash your creativity and bring this timeless companion to life on your 3D printer!
Stand him up, sit him down, flip him over, make him dance! It's all possible!
There is a test joint I recommend you use to tune your flow and other tolerance settings first. It's a cutout of the shoulders, prints quickly, and should move freely on both sides. Once you have that working, give the big guy a go!
At 100% he stands roughly 5 inches tall. Laid out he's about 6 inches long. The body prints in place, next to the head and the forearms. Snap the head on top with ease. Insert the forearms into the upper arm through the inside hole. Push the peg side in and down first, then once the ball snaps through, it'll move freely up and down and bend at the elbow (snip the little support on the smaller front slot).
3D printing settings On plate, the body prints in the sitting position and is approximately 70x83mm and 50mm tall.
Support free, 0.2 layer height, 10% infill. (or whatever you prefer really)
I recommend printing the test joint first and getting settings tuned so the ball joints move freely in all directions.
Successfully scaled down to 70%, and joint test works up to 250% (so far).
